Paw Prints is a student produced monthly newspaper that was launched in September 2000.
Since its debut, the newspaper has grown, as well as the staff that produces
it. Mrs. Amy Noles, the Paw Prints advisor, started the newspaper from scratch. "Before I came to Lyon County, there wasn’t really a newspaper. Years earlier, I was told, there were some sheets of paper stapled together and called a newspaper, but not a real newspaper." To be a member of the Paw Prints staff, any high school student may apply by submitting an application and a sample editorial article. Local businesses support the newspaper by buying advertisements. Paw Prints is supported by many different businesses and appreciates the support. Without the support of these businesses, Paw Prints would not exist. |
